Campus Recreation

The Department of Campus Recreation and Intramurals (CRI), an integral and active service of the diverse University community, supports and strengthens the mission of Georgia Southern University. Our purpose is to provide growth opportunities and educational experiences, which will enrich the life-long learning process.

Through our programs and facilities, which are recreational, educational and sporting in nature, we promote and develop healthy life-style choices. Benefits of participation include the application of leadership, decision-making, problem solving, conflict management, communication and social skills. We strive to provide the safest, cleanest, highest quality, most dependable and enjoyable services.

Club Sports

The Club Sports program is administered by Campus Recreation & Intramurals, with individual clubs being organized by students.

Although faculty and staff are permitted to participate in the club sports program, individual club governing bodies may restrict competition to current GS students. Most clubs are highly competitive at the state, regional and national levels.

Currently, there are 28 active Club Sports at Georgia Southern University.

If you do not see a club that interests you, learn how to start your own!

Intramural Sports

Leagues, tournaments, and special events are offered for participants who desire a competitive atmosphere as well as those who desire a more social, recreational environment. It doesn’t matter if you are a star athlete or just want to have fun. Intramural Sports has something for everyone!
