Appointment of Dr. Devon Jenson as Interim Associate Dean
Dr. Charles E. Patterson, upon request of Chancellor Hank Huckaby, will serve as the Interim President of Georgia Southwestern State University from January 1, 2015 to June 30, 2015. It is critical that responsibilities of College of Graduate Studies continue uninterrupted in his absence. Provost Dr. Jean E. Bartels will assume any oversight and final approver role necessary for the continuing function of the college. Dr. Jensen will serve in the role of Interim Associate Dean to assist with the responsibilities of the college.
Dr. Jensen is currently serving as the Program Director for the Department of Leadership, Technology, and Human Development in the College of Education. In that role, he has overseen graduate programs and been an active member of the Graduate Committee and Graduate Program Directors Committee. He brings extensive knowledge and research expertise in the area of higher education leadership. He holds a PhD in Postsecondary Policy Analysis from the University of Alberta, and MEd in Adult, Community, and Higher Education, a BEd in Secondary Education, and a BA in English from the University of Calgary.
