Georgia Southern Preferred Graduate Admissions

Georgia Southern Preferred Graduate Admissions

Applying to a Master’s Program Just Got Easier

Georgia Southern undergraduates with a 3.00 GPA or higher can now apply to a master’s degree in less than 10 minutes–and we’ll even waive the application fee.

The Jack N. Averitt College of Graduate Studies (JNACOGS) offers a streamlined admission option for several master’s programs. Currently enrolled undergraduate students aspiring to complete a master’s degree in their current or related area of study who meet a cumulative GPA requirement set by each program can qualify for this admissions pathway. Some participating degree programs may have additional criteria for eligibility.

How does it work?

Georgia Southern undergraduate students who meet the criteria outlined by the participating programs must complete the Preferred Admit Form prior or during their final semester of undergraduate coursework. Eligible students are fast-tracked through the graduate admissions process, exempting the student from the application fee, potentially waiving test scores, and other supplemental documentation required by the participating programs.

Students must submit the Preferred Admit Form prior to the program’s application deadline. All graduate program application deadlines may be found on the JNACOGs website. Eligible students may only use this fast-track admissions process for one participating graduate program.

As with all admission decisions, meeting the criteria does not guarantee admission. All admission decisions are subject to program availability and capacity constraints. Successful completion of an undergraduate degree is required for enrollment into any graduate program.
